The Philippine Warrior Arts Society is a registered non-profit society in the Province of Alberta, Canada. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting the Filipino Martial Cultural Traditions and practices that have been passed down through the centuries.
We welcome and embrace all forms of Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) as part of the entire range of Filipino Martial Cultural Traditions, which also include Cultural Dance as well as spiritual and physical development. We accomplish our goals through holding various educational seminars and presentations, as well as through our annual Gathering, where different Filipino Martial Arts instructors volunteer their time to show and educate others on the specific Filipino Martial Cultural Tradition and Practice in their specific systems (example - traditional bowing, showing of respect, as well as specific terminology and use of verbal/non-verbal language in their specific traditional system).
We are truly a society built on diversity. But in our diversity, we uphold the strength of our unity! We are one FMA family that supports each other in all areas of growth, and this helps to perpetuate and sustain the Filipino Martial Cultural Tradition!
